Meet Kellie

Originally from the east coast of Australia, I relocated to WA for love. Just before I settled here however, I spent time travelling the country and the world to gain some much needed perspective about life, love and loss. This took me on a journey of deep self-discovery and now I’m excited to finally land and stay in one place for a while. I bring 15 years of experience as a counsellor in community settings and I’m currently working towards a master’s degree in Gestalt therapy to deepen my practice.

Therapy is challenging. We are looking at shadows, beliefs and patterns that may have been hidden for a long time. I honour the courage it takes to actually start therapy and am always in awe of the results that it brings…you may feel happier, more positive and confident. It is in the simplicity of being seen in a safe space that the connection begins to help you uncover the layers that have blocked you from being your true self.

I believe in breaking away from traditional therapy settings. You’ll often find me conducting sessions outdoors—whether it’s by the beach, in a park, or walking through nature. In saying this, I'm led by you, so if an indoor setting creates more safety, then that is completely fine. I carry the wisdom and richness of life experience and many years working in adult and adolescent mental health, youth and family therapy settings. I feel very lucky to have worked with people around the country from diverse cultures, genders, socio economic status, and ages across the lifespan.

My approach is heart centred and simple. My down-to-earth style meets you where you are, offering support that feels natural. I use a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, incorporating attachment styles, and offering a Gestalt and nature-based perspective to guide our relational work together. Whether we meet face-to-face or via Telehealth, I’m here to walk alongside you.
